Rattlesnake Skewers, Navajo Fry Bread & Sopapillas, Red Pepper Jelly Bruchetta and Pineapple Chili-Ritas are what make Ellis a wonderful place for dining, drinking and having fun. Add that to nightly specials, live music, art openings, darts and of course $2 Miller Draughts and this is something you just can’t miss. Whether you are planning a private event, joining us for dinner, or in the mood for some great drinks we are looking forward to seeing you at Ellis.
About Chef Seth Ellis Chef Seth Ellis is native of Tempe, Arizona and can trace his family history back five generations to one of the first Sheriffs of Maricopa County. Much of the food served at Ellis, is derived from old family recipes, take for example the Red Pepper Jelly and the Apricot Chicken. Seth first found his calling to the kitchen at 16 years old when he took the job as a Baker’s Apprentice. He baked his way through high school and continued cooking during college. He was soon Head Chef at Casey Moore’s Oyster House, one of the most well-known restaurants in the Phoenix Valley. After a brief stint at Tempe’s four-star House of Tricks, Seth took a break from cooking professionally to move to Philadelphia so that his wife, also an Arizona native, could attend graduate school. The two soon found permanent residence in Brooklyn, New York. Now settled, it was time to get back to the kitchen. Armed with 16 years of culinary experience and with the encouragement of friends and family, Seth now prepares his best recipes at his namesake restaurant, Ellis, for all to come and enjoy. |
